A small story but means alot.

A story worth to be understood.

One truck driver was doing his usual load delivery at a mental hospital, by parking his vehicle beside an open drain. He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to return from the mental hospital. He jacked up the truck and removed the flat tyre to fix the spare tyre. When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the 4 bolts in the open drain.

As he cannot fish out the bolts from the open drain, he started to panic as to what should be done. Just then, a patient happened to walk past him and asked the driver as to why he was looking troubled.

The driver thought to himself, since there is nothing much he can do or this mental joker can, just to keep the bugging away, the truck driver informed the whole episode to the mental patient and gave a helpless look.

The patient just laughed at the truck driver and said "You just cannot even fix such a simple problem. No wonder you are destined to remain a truck driver for life".

The truck driver was astonished to hear such a comment from a mental guy. "Here is what you can do" said the mental guy." take one bolt from each of the remaining 3 tyres / wheels and fix it on to this tyre. Then drive down to the nearest workshop and replace the missing ones. Isn't it simple my friend?".

The truck driver was so impressed with this quick fix answer and asked the patient "How come you are so smart and intelligent and you are here at the mental hospital?" The patient replied "My dear friend! I stay here because I am crazy but not stupid".

No wonder, there are some people, who behave like the Truck Driver, thinking that others are just stupid.

So, guys, though you all are learned and wise, but, just watch out, there could be some CRAZY guys in our professional /personal lives, who could give us lot of quick fixes and brush our wisdom.

Moral of the story:

Just do not conclude that you know everything and do not judge people by mere looks/ attire / stature or academic background.

Really guys, "I have often regretted my speech - never my silence" .

Major solar storm headed to Earth

The strongest geomagnetic storm in more than six years was forecast to hit Earth's magnetic field Jan. 24, and it could affect airline routes, power grids and satellites, the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center said.

This handout image provided by NASA, taken Sunday night, Jan. 22, 2012, shows a solar flare erupting on the Sun's northeastern hemisphere. Space weather officials say the strongest solar storm in more than six years is already bombarding Earth with radiation with more to come. The Space Weather Prediction Center in Colorado observed a flare Sunday night at 11 p.m. EST. Physicist Doug Biesecker said the biggest concern from the speedy eruption is the radiation, which arrived on Earth an hour later. It will likely continue through Wednesday. It's mostly an issue for astronauts' health and satellite disruptions. It can cause communication problems for airplanes that go over the poles.

This energy can interfere with high frequency radio communications used by airlines to navigate close to the North Pole in flights between North America, Europe and Asia, so some routes may need to be shifted. It could also affect power grids and satellite operations, the center said in a statement. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station may be advised to shield themselves in specific parts of the spacecraft to avoid a heightened dose of solar radiation.

In this handout from the NOAA/National Weather Service's Space Weather Prediction Center, shows the coronal mass ejection (CME) erupting from the sun late January 23, 2012. The flare is reportedly the largest since 2005 and is expected to affect GPS systems and other communications when it reaches the Earth's magnetic field in the morning of January 24. Something about timeline....

Facebook won the loyalty of more than 800 million users largely by getting them into the habit of visiting again and again to see the latest updates, comments, and photos posted by friends. Now the site will also let outside apps provide even more content, and it will encourage people to spend time looking back over activity from months or even years ago. New features introduced at an event in San Francisco last night will enable users to automatically record their eating, reading, exercise, and other habits over time, share them with friends, and review their previous actions.
The key to the new features is an update to the Timeline page that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg introduced at his company's F8 event last September. Now, with a user's permission, third-party websites and mobile apps can record details of what the person is doing and automatically feed that information to the person's Timeline page through a "Timeline app" that sends the data to Facebook and provides the necessary permission and privacy settings.

"Your timeline is not just a way to tell your story based on what you're doing on Facebook, but using your activity out in the rest of the world as well," said Carl Sjogreen, director of platform products at Facebook, at the launch event.

Enthusiasts and researchers have experimented with comprehensively logging their lives for years. In 1998, for example, Microsoft researcher Gordon Bell began trying to digitally capture as much as he could about everything he did. But Bell and others have often found that browsing and reviewing their records presented a greater challenge than capturing them. Facebook's new design could help people do both.

Facebook's hope is not just to hook in users with more experiences, but also to make use of the new trove of data that Timeline apps will provide. The information could help the company's efforts to target ads more cleverly, although Facebook says that for now, data from Timeline apps is not used in that way.

WikiLeaks...What is it exactly ?

WikiLeaks is an international non-profit organisation that publishes submissions of private, secret, and classified media from anonymous news sources, news leaks, and whistleblowers. Its website, launched in 2006 under The Sunshine Press organisation, claimed a database of more than 1.2 million documents within a year of its launch. WikiLeaks describes its founders as a mix of Chinese dissidents, journalists, mathematicians, and start-up company technologists from the United States, Taiwan, Europe, Australia, and South Africa.Julian Assange, an Australian Internet activist, is generally described as its director. The site was originally launched as a user-editable wiki (hence its name), but has progressively moved towards a more traditional publication model and no longer accepts either user comments or edits.
In April 2010, WikiLeaks published gunsight footage from the 12 July 2007 Baghdad airstrike in which Iraqi journalists were among those killed by an Apache helicopter, as the Collateral Murder video. In July of the same year, WikiLeaks released Afghan War Diary, a compilation of more than 76,900 documents about the War in Afghanistan not previously available to the public. In October 2010, the group released a package of almost 400,000 documents called the Iraq War Logs in coordination with major commercial media organisations. This allowed every death in Iraq, and across the border in Iran, to be mapped. In November 2010, WikiLeaks began releasing U.S. State department diplomatic cables.
In April 2011, WikiLeaks began publishing “779 secret files” relating to prisoners detained in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
On 1 September 2011, it became public that an encrypted version of WikiLeaks' huge archive of unredacted U.S. State Department cables had been available via Bittorrent for months, and that the decryption key (similar to a password) was available to those who knew where to look. WikiLeaks blamed the breach on its former partner, Britain's Guardian newspaper and that paper's journalist David Leigh, who revealed the key in a book published in February 2011; the Guardian argued that WikiLeaks was to blame since they gave the impression that the decryption key was temporal (something not possible for a file decryption key).Der Spiegel reported a more complex story  involving errors on both sides. It was feared the release could endanger the lives of innocent people named in the cables.

The rich culture of INDIA :- "Janmastami"

"Janmastami"
The festival celebrating the birth of Shri Krishna, known by various names such as Shri Krishna Jayanti, Janmashtami and Gokulashtami is an important festival in the Hindu calendar. This festival has been celebrated on the eighth day after the full moon in the month of Shravan.

As the festival is known by different names so also it is celebrated on two different days by different Hindu sects
The first day is known as Krishnashtami or Gokulashtami and the second day is known as Kalashtami or Janmashtami.

Lord Krishna is worshipped as the eighth incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu.

Janmashtami celebrates the birth of one of the most famous Gods of Hindu religion, Bhagwan Krishna, on the eighth day (Ashtami) in the month of Sravana or Savana.
Lord Shri Krishna was born on the ‘Rohini’ nakshatram (star).

It is generally celebrated in the month of August-September according to the Christian Calendar.
Legend has it that Shri Krishna was born on a dark, stormy and windy night to end the rule and atrocities of his maternal uncle, Kansa.

It is only at midnight between the first and the second day that birth of Sri Krishna took place.
The actual festivities begin during midnight in this 48 hour period.
The celebration reaches its peak at midnight, with the birth of Lord Krishna, with lot of hymns, arti taking place and blowing of the Conch (shankh), rocking the cradle of Lord.

The idol of lord is bathed with Panchamrit (A mixture of milk, ghee, oil, honey and Gangajal).

The Panchamrit is later distributed as Prasad to the devotees along with other sweets.
While some Fast on the first day and break it at midnight for others the fasting continues for both days.
The period coincides with rainy season.

Tonite this festival will b ecelebrated at my home..
I ll be uploading the pics of that soon..

Keep smiling....
