Virtual SEX..!!

Sex and that too virtual ?? Sounds interesting isn’t it..?

Few questions that may arise are like : How can you feel kisses that aren't truly there?
How can you caress (touch or stroke lightly in loving manner) something that exists as little more than a dream?

The theorists of the 15th and 16th centuries pondered these questions in an attempt to reconcile "confessions" of demonic sex with the metaphysics of their own faith. They compiled thick tomes of pained confessions and continually revised their mythology concerning sorcery.

How is Virtual Sexuality taking place ?
The future is bright for virtual sexuality. After all, we're human beings. Think of any great artistic or technological achievement and chances are it winds up in our pants at some point. Poetry gave us pornography, the telephone gave us sex hotlines and vulcanization gave us the modern condom. It's just part of who we are.
Today, more than 2.1 billion people surf the World Wide Web [source: CIA World Factbook]. Internet pornography is a multibillion-dollar industry and although an exact count of Web sites is difficult to formulate, we do know that at least one hardworking web-filtering service (CYBERsitter) currently blocks more than 2.5 million porn sites [source: Ruvolo].
Roughly speaking, you can divide all of our sexual uses of technology into two categories:
1.     Sexual communication with another person (sexting, sex chat rooms and webcam cybersex)
2.     Sexual interaction with a simulation (interactive sex video games)
Human telecommunication began with the mere transmission of words and ideas via the telegraph. We quickly moved on to sending sounds and sights. Today, the industry continues to work toward the seamless transmission of our entire sensory experience.

Physical Touch in a Digital World

They don't call it "carnal knowledge" for nothing. Every lover's embrace is essentially sense data, but to what extent can we truly digitize, transmit and receive that information? Let's start with the sense of touch.
Sure, a computer mouse or video game joystick allows you to manipulate items in a computer environment, but the realm of physical touch falls to the field of computer haptics. As the photo on this page illustrates, haptic technology generally takes the form of a glove that allows the user to not only control but actually feel virtual items.

Few interesting examples.
Of course, sexual touches incorporate far more than the use of our hands, and scientists are already hard at work on haptic technology for our other parts. Just consider the Hug Shirt, a Bluetooth-enabled garment from the U.K.'s CuteCircuit that uses embedded sensors and actuators to simulate the warmth and touch of an affectionate embrace. Suddenly, a transoceanic hug becomes as simple as sending a text message.

Or if you fancy something a little more randy, then take heart in the Kiss Transmitter prototype from Kajimoto Laboratory at Tokyo's University of Electro-Communications. Resembling a cross between an electric toothbrush and a joystick, the device is designed to transmit all the tongue-swirling intensity of a French kiss across the digital divide.
Ghhhosssh,,,this all sounds a bit low tech,,,isn’t it… As low-tech as that sounds (and generally is), the electronic transmission of physical pleasure takes a rather high-tech turn with Dr. Stuart Meloy's Orgasmatron. Created in 2008, this device sends an electrical pulse through nerves in the spinal cord that inform parts of the brain processing pleasurable sensations in the female genitalia. A study published in the journal Neuromodulation even reported that four women who had previously lost the ability to experience orgasms regained it with the device [source: Nuzzo].
In the example of the Orgasmatron, we see that the future of virtual sex may rely not only on haptic gloves and vibrating sensors, but also on the complex manipulation of the human nervous system.

Wake up and Smell the Future

OK this all was totally techie…. Now if you want to feel that your partner is besides you then most important thing that comes in mind is the “smell” , whether bad or good,,,it’s upto you.. lolzz.
Smell and taste complete the human sensory experience, and rest assured that research continues into the creation of digitally transmitted smells. Before you scoff at the importance of smell in human sexuality, just remember that about one out of every 50 genes in the human genome concern this most ancient of senses [source: Shell].
Without smell in the mix, how can we expect to fully buy into a virtual experience? And as smell plays such a vital role in our sense of taste, too, the importance of digital scent technology becomes obvious.
Printable Odors  follow the same logic of your standard laser printer. While the printer creates a wide variety of colors from a limited pallet of primary colors, so too does an odor printer create a variety of smells out of primary scents.
This brings us at last back to our sense of vision. While visual rendering technology continues to advance at an amazing rate, the addition of smell, taste and touch into the virtual reality experience actually lightens the burden for visual simulation. This is due to what scientists call crossmodal attention affects, which govern the way the brain prioritizes some sensory inputs over others.
For instance, the kiss you feel on your cheek takes sensory priority over the texture of the sofa cushion underneath you -- and it takes priority at a neurological level. In fact, the amount of brainpower allotted to sight drastically decreases once sound, smell and touch are introduced [source: Madrigal].
The technology continues to emerge, but the day is fast approaching when two lovers may slip into their virtual reality cocoons and fall into each others' arms across intercontinental or even interplanetary distances.
Still others may turn their backs on real-world romance altogether. They'll embrace simulated celebrities, impossible anime bodies and fetishes previously only imagined.
This virtual hedonaut will reach out with a haptic glove, stare into programmed eyes and touch flesh that exists as little more than a dream.
According to me , Virtual sex is surely going to emerge . But the question stands , "When"?

A small story but means alot.

A story worth to be understood.

One truck driver was doing his usual load delivery at a mental hospital, by parking his vehicle beside an open drain. He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to return from the mental hospital. He jacked up the truck and removed the flat tyre to fix the spare tyre. When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the 4 bolts in the open drain.

As he cannot fish out the bolts from the open drain, he started to panic as to what should be done. Just then, a patient happened to walk past him and asked the driver as to why he was looking troubled.

The driver thought to himself, since there is nothing much he can do or this mental joker can, just to keep the bugging away, the truck driver informed the whole episode to the mental patient and gave a helpless look.

The patient just laughed at the truck driver and said "You just cannot even fix such a simple problem. No wonder you are destined to remain a truck driver for life".

The truck driver was astonished to hear such a comment from a mental guy. "Here is what you can do" said the mental guy." take one bolt from each of the remaining 3 tyres / wheels and fix it on to this tyre. Then drive down to the nearest workshop and replace the missing ones. Isn't it simple my friend?".

The truck driver was so impressed with this quick fix answer and asked the patient "How come you are so smart and intelligent and you are here at the mental hospital?" The patient replied "My dear friend! I stay here because I am crazy but not stupid".

No wonder, there are some people, who behave like the Truck Driver, thinking that others are just stupid.

So, guys, though you all are learned and wise, but, just watch out, there could be some CRAZY guys in our professional /personal lives, who could give us lot of quick fixes and brush our wisdom.

Moral of the story:

Just do not conclude that you know everything and do not judge people by mere looks/ attire / stature or academic background.

Really guys, "I have often regretted my speech - never my silence" .

Major solar storm headed to Earth

The strongest geomagnetic storm in more than six years was forecast to hit Earth's magnetic field Jan. 24, and it could affect airline routes, power grids and satellites, the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center said.

This handout image provided by NASA, taken Sunday night, Jan. 22, 2012, shows a solar flare erupting on the Sun's northeastern hemisphere. Space weather officials say the strongest solar storm in more than six years is already bombarding Earth with radiation with more to come. The Space Weather Prediction Center in Colorado observed a flare Sunday night at 11 p.m. EST. Physicist Doug Biesecker said the biggest concern from the speedy eruption is the radiation, which arrived on Earth an hour later. It will likely continue through Wednesday. It's mostly an issue for astronauts' health and satellite disruptions. It can cause communication problems for airplanes that go over the poles.

This energy can interfere with high frequency radio communications used by airlines to navigate close to the North Pole in flights between North America, Europe and Asia, so some routes may need to be shifted. It could also affect power grids and satellite operations, the center said in a statement. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station may be advised to shield themselves in specific parts of the spacecraft to avoid a heightened dose of solar radiation.

In this handout from the NOAA/National Weather Service's Space Weather Prediction Center, shows the coronal mass ejection (CME) erupting from the sun late January 23, 2012. The flare is reportedly the largest since 2005 and is expected to affect GPS systems and other communications when it reaches the Earth's magnetic field in the morning of January 24. Something about timeline....

Facebook won the loyalty of more than 800 million users largely by getting them into the habit of visiting again and again to see the latest updates, comments, and photos posted by friends. Now the site will also let outside apps provide even more content, and it will encourage people to spend time looking back over activity from months or even years ago. New features introduced at an event in San Francisco last night will enable users to automatically record their eating, reading, exercise, and other habits over time, share them with friends, and review their previous actions.
The key to the new features is an update to the Timeline page that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg introduced at his company's F8 event last September. Now, with a user's permission, third-party websites and mobile apps can record details of what the person is doing and automatically feed that information to the person's Timeline page through a "Timeline app" that sends the data to Facebook and provides the necessary permission and privacy settings.

"Your timeline is not just a way to tell your story based on what you're doing on Facebook, but using your activity out in the rest of the world as well," said Carl Sjogreen, director of platform products at Facebook, at the launch event.

Enthusiasts and researchers have experimented with comprehensively logging their lives for years. In 1998, for example, Microsoft researcher Gordon Bell began trying to digitally capture as much as he could about everything he did. But Bell and others have often found that browsing and reviewing their records presented a greater challenge than capturing them. Facebook's new design could help people do both.

Facebook's hope is not just to hook in users with more experiences, but also to make use of the new trove of data that Timeline apps will provide. The information could help the company's efforts to target ads more cleverly, although Facebook says that for now, data from Timeline apps is not used in that way.

WikiLeaks...What is it exactly ?

WikiLeaks is an international non-profit organisation that publishes submissions of private, secret, and classified media from anonymous news sources, news leaks, and whistleblowers. Its website, launched in 2006 under The Sunshine Press organisation, claimed a database of more than 1.2 million documents within a year of its launch. WikiLeaks describes its founders as a mix of Chinese dissidents, journalists, mathematicians, and start-up company technologists from the United States, Taiwan, Europe, Australia, and South Africa.Julian Assange, an Australian Internet activist, is generally described as its director. The site was originally launched as a user-editable wiki (hence its name), but has progressively moved towards a more traditional publication model and no longer accepts either user comments or edits.
In April 2010, WikiLeaks published gunsight footage from the 12 July 2007 Baghdad airstrike in which Iraqi journalists were among those killed by an Apache helicopter, as the Collateral Murder video. In July of the same year, WikiLeaks released Afghan War Diary, a compilation of more than 76,900 documents about the War in Afghanistan not previously available to the public. In October 2010, the group released a package of almost 400,000 documents called the Iraq War Logs in coordination with major commercial media organisations. This allowed every death in Iraq, and across the border in Iran, to be mapped. In November 2010, WikiLeaks began releasing U.S. State department diplomatic cables.
In April 2011, WikiLeaks began publishing “779 secret files” relating to prisoners detained in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
On 1 September 2011, it became public that an encrypted version of WikiLeaks' huge archive of unredacted U.S. State Department cables had been available via Bittorrent for months, and that the decryption key (similar to a password) was available to those who knew where to look. WikiLeaks blamed the breach on its former partner, Britain's Guardian newspaper and that paper's journalist David Leigh, who revealed the key in a book published in February 2011; the Guardian argued that WikiLeaks was to blame since they gave the impression that the decryption key was temporal (something not possible for a file decryption key).Der Spiegel reported a more complex story  involving errors on both sides. It was feared the release could endanger the lives of innocent people named in the cables.
